Rocks cluster Compute nodes ask for password

I mucked about for ages trying to fix this and came upon this ...
Rocks Cluster on Google Groups
The very last bit of advice
Check or restart autofs in frontend
worked.
The actual command used is
rocks run host 'service autofs restart'
